My first post...

This is the first post of my first blog. So if I stumble and ramble, please ignore all that and see what lies underneath. What is underneath is a first-time mom trying her best to do everything right for her baby! I am sure that would describe any mom. Anyway, I am a 28 year old Indian woman living in Bangalore. I was working as a software developer before and when my baby came along, I decided to take some time off and become a full-time mom.

Let me tell you about my baby... My baby, my Roshan, my little wonder. He's 11 months old. He is in a stage when he drools on everything and pees on everything and yet, he is everything I ever dreamt of. He plays hide-and-seek with me these days, asks for water when thirsty and walks around the house pushing a little stool. May not sound like much to you, but I watch everything he does in absolute amazement. Sometimes I am not able to believe he is the same little bundle that the nurse put in my arms the day he was born. He sure seems bigger and much more intelligent than then.

Three words for my baby boy - Cute, sweet and smart. He is the love of my life. I can say the same things about my husband too, except the “cute” part, of course. My husband is a busy guy – trying his best to balance work life and home life. On weekdays, he vanishes in the morning, keeps calling a few times in the day for 1 minute chats and comes back late in the night. But weekends are fantastic. He makes sure they are. He makes us feel that we are the luckiest people on earth to have him in our life. We sure are. And... he was the one who suggested blogging to me, when I was thinking of ways to occupy the little extra time that is coming up in my life these days.

So, here I am...

In my blog, I intend to share my experiences with Rosh from day one, telling you right from what I packed in my baby bag to when I started him on solid foods to how much his high chair costs. Roshan is the centre of my universe now, but I do have other interests as well. Food!! Mehandi!! Cooking(?) !! Weekend outings!! What not!

I want to make it useful... and... interesting to other stay-at-home moms. What I plan to do right now is to keep writing and at the same time upgrade the looks of my blog. Let us see how I do. In the meantime, a little heads up on my next post. It would be on - the first days with Roshan at the hospital.

Keep visiting my blog, you might be surprised at how interesting I might get... sometimes...
